May. 8th, 2002 01:33 amYet again, I haven't updated much for a few days. There is not much of a particular reason, except that I have not had many noteworthy things happening.
Saturday I didn't do much. Played Jedi Knight 2 some, nothing significent.
Sunday, I got up, had a shower, and was playing Jedi Knight 2 when Marissa showed up early to pick me up. She was going to show up around 2.30pm originally, but then showed up 1.45pm, so I grabbed my stuff together, and left. Went to a prize giving ceremony where she took first place for one thing, and got glass trophy & $500. (Look at her LiveJournal if you want a fuller report on it!) Then we went to her house, and pitched tent in the living room. It was a good thing we had the tent indoors, with all the nasty weather that was had. (Hail and big thunder). We put an double air mattress inside the tent, and had some nice camping together ;-). It is good to have anemities of indoors while camping ;-).
Monday I got up nice and late, 'cause sleeping with Marissa is nice and comfy ;-). I went to Yvonne's house to see about her computer. Previously it was thought that the video card had died, but instead, it turns out the entire motherboard died. I'll have to see if I have one that I can give her, but I am not certain. After that, I had to go and fix Jon's linux server, since he had some idiots around that thought they know linux that TRIED to get sound working. But they just messed up the system to the point that it did not even boot properly. Mixing modules between kernel versions is BAD!
This morning (Tuesday), I got up at 11.30am. Read the newspaper about some really friendly Dutch politician that was brutally murdered. Shot 5 times in the head is bad. Played Jedi Knight 2 some. I was going to go to see the 4.45pm showing of Spiderman at Tinseltown, but Tara was working until 5.30pm, so we changed plans to go to the 6.30pm show instead. I got there at 5.30pm to buy tickets, only to find that the only show I could get tickets for was 9.45pm, since the rest were sold out. I bought 2 tickets instead of 3, as I did not know if Tara wanted to wait that long. She did not, and Marissa and I went out for dinner at Milestones on Hamilton in Yaletown before our movie. I was really happy with my Red Chicken Curry, but Marissa did not find her Seafood pasta, nor her chocolate cookie to be good. Back to the movie house to line up early. Marissa had a bit of a dizzy spell, so she took a nap in my lap while we waited. We saw the movie. It was quite good. Aftering reading Marvel comics all through my Math 12 Honours class instead of paying attension to the teacher, I knew a lot of the comic plotlines. I still managed to get a B+ in the class after that, and good marks on every test, and make it to the American Invitional Mathematics Examination (AIME). Afterwards, I saw Marissa onto the skytrain at Stadium station, and made sure that she had managed to contact her parents successfully before going on my way. I was going to Hastings and Granville to catch the last 151 Coquitlam bus, but I got there a bit late, enough to see the bus on Seymour and Hastings stopped at the traffic light. The bus started moving, and was a bit ahead of me, and I ran two and a half blocks to the next stop to catch it. I need to make myself fitter, because I used to be able to catch busses when I missed them like that a lot easier than it was tonight. Starting soon, I will need to see about proper exercise. I will take my brother's Discman, and put some good music in it, and go running or cycling more.
